He alon\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eg with his four other siblings were raised at the mission of Hermannsburg. He became a stockman and started painting around 1962 until the late 70s. His Father Gerhard was also a water colour painter and like his father he was not a prolific painter. Unfortunately, he died at the tender age of 38 and was unable to realise his full potential as an artist.\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: center;\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eIn Aboriginal Culture, when a person is deceased they not use the person’s name and all photos (any digital images) are not to be used.
