Collection: GRACIE NUNGARRAYI JURRAH

About this artist
Gracie Nungarrayi Jurrah is a Pintupi artist from Kintore, known to Pintupi people as Walungurru, a community out west of Alice Springs and close to the Western Australian border. She comes from a family of painters and divides her time between Kintore and Alice Springs.

Gracie paints her Country and the Dreamings passed down to her by her seniors. She works from an overhead perspective, the way the old people hold the land, marking the sites and the routes that join them across ancient ground. Her painting is traditional in its subject and quite free in the way it is put down, built from spontaneous strokes rather than tightly measured dotting.

Every work is signed by the artist and sold with our gallery certificate of authenticity.
