Barry Entata was the son of the accomplished artist Kenneth Entata. His father Kenneth was from the Loritja tribe and his mother Rosie was from the Pitjantjara tribe. His aunt Irene Mbitjana Entata was also an artist whose passion was for pottery.
Like his father, he was not a prolific painter but his talent in the limited number of paintings produced speaks for themselves.
