Marie is the daughter of the accomplished Ltyentye Apurte artist Theresa Ryder. The artists of this region, 80km southeast of Alice Springs, are renowned worldwide for their beautiful intricate artwork.
 
Marie was taught to paint by her mother and over time developed her own unique style. She paints the various bush tucker collected by the women and the stories around women’s ceremony. She lives between Ltyentye Apurte and Utopia with her own family.
