Abie comes from a family of talented painters. Her mother is the acclaimed artist Margaret Loy Pula and her father Ray Loy Pula and her Aunties are the famous Petyarre sister’s. She began painting in 1994 under the watchful eye of her grandmother, Kathleen Petyarre who is an internationally acclaimed artist.
 
Abie’s paintings tell the stories from her grandfather’s country in Utopia.
 
Over time, Abie has created her own unique style which is highly sought after by collectors nationally and internationally.
 
This painting is over 15 years old and tells the story of the body paint designs painted onto the top half of women’s bodies during ceremonies.

This artwork can be hung vertically or horizontally.
 
This painting was purchased directly from Abie and a gallery certificate of authenticity will be provided with the sale.
