Anna is the daughter of the late Glory Ngarla (Ngale or Ngal) and the niece to the late Emily Kame Kngwarreye.
 
She commenced her creativity with batik then in the 1980s started painting with acrylic on canvas.
 

Anna began painting Yam Seed & Bush Yam which was an important food source to Anna’s ancestors. Over the years she experimented with various techniques to depict her dreaming's including the Yam flower which her famous Aunt, Emily Kame Kngwarreye painted.

This painting depicts the yam plants intricate network of roots in the ground. 


Her recent works predominately focuses on the dreaming of her grandfather’s Country (Atneltyeye) by creating intricate dot works like an aerial view of the land showing sandhills, waterholes and ceremonial sites.
 

Anna has established herself as one of the leading artists to emerge from Utopia with countless exhibitions whose works are sought after worldwide.
