Julie is from the Papunya Community which is 240km northwest of Alice Springs. There are approximately 420 residents who are mainly Luritja speaking people however other language groups include; Pintubi, Walpiri and Arrernte.
 
The community of Papunya is well known for their talented and sought-after artists.

Julie spends her time between Papunya and other communities including Alice Springs where her other family members reside.
 
This artwork is called Bush Tucker which depicts bush onions, bush potatoes witchetty grubs, bush berries, bush tomato and bush banana the women collect on country.
 
 
This painting was purchased directly from Julie and a gallery certificate of authenticity will be provided with the sale.
