LINDA NAKAMARRA QUINN
TITLE: WILD ORANGE
Dreaming’s: Bush Tucker such as wild banana, wild orange, goanna, snake, and kangaroo
Linda Nakamara Quinn is from Arrungkee, located at Mount Allen (Yuelamu), an Aboriginal-owned and operated cattle station in the Northern Territory.
Coming from a strong family of artists, Linda grew up surrounded by painting and storytelling. By her mid-teens, she had already developed her own distinct artistic voice.
Her work reflects both tradition and a contemporary aesthetic. Using fine dot work and symbolic iconography, Linda carefully depicts the flora and bush foods of her Country.
In Wild Orange, she presents a striking monochromatic composition, white acrylic delicately layered against a black background. The result is a refined and intricate piece that highlights the beauty and significance of bush tucker, expressed with simplicity, precision, and elegance.
This painting was purchased directly from the artist and is accompanied by a gallery certificate of authenticity.
