REF#LI158

DOB: 1942-1980, Northern Territory
Language: Western Arrernte

Lindberg Inkamala was the son of Gerhard and Avis Inkamala. He along with his four other siblings were raised at the mission of Hermannsburg. He became a stockman and started painting around 1962 until the late 70s. His Father Gerhard was also a water colour painter and like his father he was not a prolific painter. Unfortunately, he died at the tender age of 38 and was unable to realise his full potential as an artist.

In Aboriginal Culture, when a person is deceased they not use the person’s name and all photos (any digital images) are not to be used. Out of respect we do not have any images of Lindberg however we have used his name as it would be very difficult to list the painting with no name attached.

Most of the art collection we have listed, the paintings have a boarder however, this painting has no boarder.

This painting was purchased directly from Lindberg and a gallery certificate of authenticity will be provided with the sale.

Authenticity

Every artwork is an original painting by the artist named - never a print or reproduction. Each work is researched and documented before listing, and its provenance is recorded and supplied with the sale.

Not right for you? Return it within 10 days for a full refund of the artwork price.
