Lynette is an established artist who commenced painting in 1986 for Warlukurlangu artists in Yuendumu. Her husband Harry Nelson is also a respected artist who paints for the Warlukurlangu artists which is the longest running Aboriginal owned art centre in Central Australia.

Lynette employs the traditional Warlpiri technique of dot painting, utilising iconography and earthy hues to narrate her stories. In this style, she skillfully incorporates concentric circles to represent various elements, such as rock holes and Termite mounds (Mingkirri).

Lynette like many indigenous people of Central and Western Desert spend their time between communities visiting family. We have been blessed from time to time to have Lynette drop in with one of her wonderful art works whilst in Alice Springs.

This painting was purchased directly from Lynette and a gallery certificate of authenticity will be provided with the sale.
