Marita is from the community of Kaltukatjara (Docker River), a remote indigenous community approximately 670km southwest of Alice Springs with a fluctuating population of 300-400 residents.

Her ancestral ties link her to the Ngaanyatjarra lands, encompassing Uluru. It is here in the township of Uluru where she sells most of her artwork.

We met Marita when she traveled to Alice Springs to visit her extended family. She would often drop into our property with her artwork for sale.

Her artwork traditional in style using dot work, iconography and beautiful depictions of bush tucker.

This painting is her story of Tingari. The Tingari Dreaming in Aboriginal paintings represents ancestral journeys and stories. It's depicted through intricate patterns and symbols, often using intricate dotting techniques, lines, and geometric and abstract shapes. These artworks convey the profound connection between land, culture, and spirituality.

This painting can be hung vertically or horizontally.

This painting was purchased directly from Marita and a gallery certificate of authenticity will be provided with the sale.
