Mary is the sister to artist Katie Rumble Petyarre and her extended family include the famous artists Gloria, Kathleen and Gracie Morton Pwerle.
Mary is a versatile artist using many colours and various brush strokes to depict bush medicine, bush seeds and Awelye which all relates back to her country.
This painting is her story of the bush seeds. Typically the women would gather the seeds, grind them into a thick paste to make a bush bread.

She spends her time between Arlparra in the Utopia region and Alice Springs.

This painting was purchased directly from Mary and a gallery certificate of authenticity will be provided with the sale.
