Mavis was born in the desert west of Kintore. Her parents were both Internationally acclaimed artists Narputa Nangala and Timmy Tjungurrayi Jugadai. And her sister Molly Napaltjarri Jugadai is a successful artist.

Mavis paints in the traditional style using dot technique, often in her paintings the dots merging together, and iconography to tell the stories pass down to her on canvas.

This paining beautifully depicts the bush tucker collected by the women such as, Bush tomato, bush plum, honey ants bush banana, various seeds and witchety grub. In the middle is the campsite (the concentric circles) and people sitting around.

This painting was purchased directly from Mavis and a gallery certificate of authenticity will be provided with the sale.
