Paddy Bird is the eldest son of the famous artist Ada Bird Petyarre. His Uncle is an acclaimed artist Lyndsay Bird Mpetyane, and his siblings June, Hilda, Colin, Steven, and Ronnie are all accomplished artists.  His works are in the traditional style, using dots and various symbols to convey his dreaming.

This painting is titled Alpare (Alapar) which is an important food source for the Anmatyerre people. It is high in protein and low in fibre and after its soaked and ground it was made into a damper (bread).

This painting was purchased directly from Paddy and a gallery certificate
