Born: c1957.  Utopia   Northern Territory
Language: Anmatyerre
Dreaming’s: Bush medicine, Women’s dreaming (Awelye) body paint design, Bush Tucker

Patricia is from Utopia, a region of approximately 5000 square kilometers north east of Alice Springs. There are several large and small Indigenous Communities with a fluctuating population. This region is renowned worldwide for their artists. Patricia paints the dreaming’s related to bush medicine and bush tucker such as grass seeds, berries, fruit, and roots of various plants.  She also paints women’s ceremonies including the body paint designs that are painted onto the top half of their bodies for their ceremonies.

This beautiful, unique artwork was painted in 2007. No description was provided however, we do know that Patricia paints stories regarding Bush Medicine and Bush Tucker and the fine dot work is indicative of seeds collected either for medicine or food.

This painting was purchased directly from Patricia and a gallery certificate of authenticity will be provided with the sale.
