Community: Walungurra (Kintore), Northern Territory

Rosalyn is a Pintupi artist living in the remote community of Walungurra (Kintore), approximately 530km west of Alice Springs. Established in 1981, Walungurra is a significant return-to-country community, where Pintupi families moved back to their traditional homelands after time spent in Papunya.

Walungurra remains a strong cultural centre, predominantly home to Pintupi speakers, alongside Luritja and Warlpiri families. Rosalyn is an active member of the Pulikutjarra Aboriginal Corporation, contributing to the independence and wellbeing of her community, including local services and health initiatives.

When visiting Alice Springs to spend time with family, Rosalyn continues her painting, bringing works that reflect both cultural continuity and a confident contemporary expression.

This piece is a striking example of her evolving style—layered, rhythmic, and visually engaging. While grounded in tradition, the composition carries a distinctly modern sensibility, making it a versatile work for a range of interiors.

The artwork can be displayed either vertically or horizontally, offering flexibility in presentation.

This painting has been ethically sourced directly from the artist and comes with a gallery certificate of authenticity.
