Theresa is from the Warlpiri Community of Yuendumu, approximately 290 kms northwest of Alice Springs.

She paints for the Warlukurlangu Art centre whilst home in Yuendumu. During extended vists to see her family in Alice Springs, she continued to paint and often stopped by our ‘farm’ to sell her artwork.

She predominantly paints her Pampardu Jukurrpa (Flying Ant/Termite Dreaming) which is from her father’s country. The Flying Ants/Termites build large mounds called Mingkirri found throughout Warlpiri country.

Theresa paints in the traditional Warlpiri style. The concentric circles can depict both, rock holes and Termite mounds (Mingkirri) the oblong shape around the concentric circles are the Pampardu (Flying Ant/Termite).

Theresa also works at the Yuendumu school and as Warlpiri Interpreter.

This painting was purchased directly from Theresa and a gallery certificate of authenticity will be provided.
